Small, but not cramped
Two bedrooms fit a barndominium of 900 square feet. In the 30x30 plan, the living room and kitchen take the front 12 ft of the house, a short hall leads back to the two bedrooms and the bath, and the laundry sits at the end of the hall by the back door. It is the smallest plan on this site that keeps two real bedrooms.
Go to 1,200 sq ft and the second bath and an office appear: the 40x30 plan is the one for a couple who works from home.
Who builds a 2 bedroom barndominium
A 2 bedroom barndominium suits a couple, a retirement home, a guest house on family land, or a first phase that grows later. The steel shell makes the last case easy: the building can be longer than the finished house, with the back left as a shop until the family needs more rooms. The 30x40 plan with shop shows the shop as an attached building instead.
